$10.00 to $13.00 per hour

JOB SUMMARY:

The Auto and Equipment Detailer will be responsible for cleaning and refurbishing new and used vehicles and equipment.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

  • Perform a variety of vehicle and equipment cleaning tasks including washing, polishing, buffing, degreasing, interior cleaning and window cleaning.
  • Cleans upholstery, rugs and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators and cleaning devices.
  • Cleans engine and engine compartments with steam cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents.
  • Maintains a clean and organized manner.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma preferred; must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Background.
  • REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES:
  • Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
  • Plan work and select proper tools.
  • Perform a variety of duties that may change often.
  • Rate information using standards that can be measured or checked.
  • Ability to operate equipment is desired.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments with possible exposure to noise, dust, fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, moving objects, sharp edges, and in all types of weather and temperature conditions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 Frequent climbing, stairs/ladders, bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, reaching and crouching.

 Occasional work on ladders, scaffolding or high structures.

 Visual acuity to read printed and electronic documents.

 Hearing capacity to receive, perceive and react to common construction environment auditory stimuli.

 Lifting and/or exerting of force up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds of lifting/force frequently and up to 10 pounds of lifting/force constantly to move objects.

 Frequent driving of motor vehicles.
