Skills Needed from the Concrete Finisher for Our Projects
Placing and Finishing Concrete: Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, walks, sidewalks, roads, foundations, walls, or curbs using a variety of hand and power tools. Use saws to cut control joints.
Placing Rebar: Determine quantities, sizes, shapes, and locations of rebar from blueprints, sketches, or oral instructions.
Space and fasten rebar together in forms according to blueprints, using wire and pliers or rebar tying guns.
Position and secure rebar or mesh in concrete forms using fasteners, hand tools, rod bending tools, and cutting tools.
Cut rebar to length using hand tools or electric- or gas-powered tools.
Cut and fit wire mesh in forms according to blueprints.
Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, or gutters; patch voids
$22.50 / hour plus overtime. $20.00/day per diem plus housing
